The School of Artisan Food
The School of Artisan Food, based in the heart of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire on the beautiful Welbeck Estate, teaches all aspects of artisan food production. In 2009, the School approached us to develop their brand, marketing materials and website. Taking our inspiration from the passion and knowledge of the school's founders, and its locale, we produced an elegant and classical identity for the school which became the centrepiece for their brand.
The brand development included defining a tone-of-voice and diction for the school, which was carried across all of the copy and photography produced. The marketing materials included the design and development of a website, and the design and production of school prospectus and a series of mailshots.
For the website, we specified, designed and developed a complete online course/booking system that not only allows customers to book places on their courses, but also enables the School to administer their courses and much of their business online.
The website is completely bespoke, tailored to the School's exacting needs and was developed with scalability in mind; ensuring that their website can grow and change in-line with the School's courses and offerings. For e-commerce, we used Sagepay (the payment gateway formerly known as Protx), which seamlessly integrates into the School's accountancy systems.
Opening its doors in September 2009 the School of Artisan Food has flourished, with (as of March 2010) some 40+ courses being run and some 400+ customers booking online and going on to learn about artisan food. We are very proud of the brand and systems that we have developed for the School and continually to work with them to adapt and update their marketing materials as their product develops.
The School of Artisan Food is a perfect case study for us as it clearly demonstrates how our separate branding, digital and marketing departments can work in unison to provide our clients with a complete and cost-effective marketing solution, all under one roof.
