Thanks to a new-look website, launched in November 2007, Sheffield Digital Campus now has an eye-catching web presence for sharing its progress and ambitions.
New media specialists at Ledgard Jepson spent four months creating the new-look site for this multi-million pound scheme. The site was designed to highlight the importance of the project in creating a home for digital, ICT, multi-media and creative companies from start-ups through to mature businesses.
Sheffield Digital Campus, offering 600,000 sq ft of space, involves partners including the Scarborough Development Group plc, GMI Holdings Ltd, Sheffield City Council, Creative Sheffield and Yorkshire Forward.
Director of Ledgard Jepson’s new media team, Dan Morris, explains: “Given the high significance of this project and the potential for it to become an international leader in its field, Sheffield Digital Campus’ website had to reflect the best and latest in digital design and implementation. Our work also needed to live up to the demands of a highly digitally literate audience.
“With that in mind, we devised a modular, content-managed system that easily allows for the site to be developed and to grow as the campus does. Flexibility and adaptability are key.”
Ledgard Jepson has been involved in the project from an early stage, when its team of marketing and communications specialists were asked to help produce a over-arching strategy to help to drive communications to key stakeholders in the city and beyond. The detailed document was produced ahead of construction activity in the autumn of 2006.
The National Health Service in Yorkshire and the Humber has become the latest high profile client for Ledgard Jepson.
